Good friends from our days at Hudson Home relocated to Denver and asked us to design their new home. Located in the rapidly changing Berkeley neighborhood, the combination of a complex set of lot conditions, an 1,100 page local zoning code, and design-savvy clients promised to create complex opportunities for creativity.

The project includes both a three-story Primary Residence and an “Accessory Dwelling Unit” on the back leg of the property. The small, non-traditional urban lot required a great deal of disciplined thought and design study to allow all of the requested functions to fit within the zoned envelope and still create a sense of design exploration.
